Thinking about Scouting for your family? Come see a meeting — that’s the best first step, and there’s no commitment.

Visit a meeting

Youth and parents are welcome to visit any regular troop meeting. Cub Scouts and Webelos dens are especially welcome. We’d appreciate a heads-up before you come — some evenings are planning sessions that aren’t the best introduction to the troop — so please contact us to schedule a visit.

Meeting day, time, and location are being confirmed for the current program year — please contact us before your first visit.

What to expect when you visit

What the first year looks like

Troop 423 develops leaders — that’s the program, not a side benefit. A new Scout’s first year typically includes:

Families are part of it too — rides, campout support, committee help, merit badge counseling. Scouting works best when every family carries a piece.
