Safe Environment

Troop 423 is chartered by a Catholic parish, so our adult volunteers meet two sets of youth-protection standards: Scouting America’s, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’s safe-environment program. Nothing matters more than the safety of our Scouts.

VIRTUS — Archdiocese safe-environment training

All adults who interact with the Scouts need VIRTUS training — the Archdiocese’s child-protection program. This is in addition to Youth Protection Training (YPT) and the required Scouting America training for your position. If you are already VIRTUS-trained, please inform the Committee Chair so the troop’s compliance records stay current.
